Tonight is Tamil New Year's Eve. This mix took forever to upload from my laptop on a pilfered wi=fi signal we discovered on our roof. The computer had to be sitting on a ledge above a four story drop, and it is windy. The sound of a cover band from "Bean-Town" (Bangalore) doing a medley of "Summer of '69" into "Sweet Child'O'Mine" was wafting up from the town square. That was the first contemporary western music I'd heard played live since we arrived in India.
