While we were in New York last week,G and I saw her friend Brendan and the rest of the egress theatre co. do a doubleheader production of "DEATHWATCH" and "THE MAIDS" by Jean genet . Shit was pretty intense. I had never heard of Genet but aparantly he was a freak pervert genius, especially in his early work which he wrote while he was in an out of prisons all over europe (we went to prison ON PURPOSE.. get it?).
